Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Commodity Trading Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the acquisition and sale of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials with a strong emphasis on stainless steel grades such as 304 316 and 330. This position plays a critical role in expanding our market presence developing new business opportunities and managing inventory to support and enhance our existing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify acquire and sell ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials with a focus on stainless steel grades 304 316 and 330.
- Develop and implement strategies to enter new markets and expand the companys trading footprint.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers customers and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends pricing and global demand to optimize trading decisions and inventory management.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure favorable outcomes for the company.
- Meet and exceed quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as established by management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate logistics compliance and support functions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance market developments and inventory status.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 10 years experience in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap material trading.
- Demonstrated expertise in stainless steel grades 304 316 and 330.
- Proven track record of market development and business growth in the commodities sector.
- Strong negotiation communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and make informed trading decisions.
- Experience with inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Self-motivated goal-oriented and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time.
- Availability to work in-office when not traveling.
- Bachelors degree in Business Economics or a related field preferred.

- Quarterly sales and acquisition targets for ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials.
- Market expansion and development of new supplier/customer relationships.
- Inventory turnover rates and optimization metrics.
- Profitability and margin improvement benchmarks.

Travel and Work Requirements
- This position requires a minimum of 50% travel both domestically and internationally to meet with suppliers customers and industry partners.
- When not traveling the Commodity Trading Manager is expected to work from the companys office location.
