Description

Civil Carpenter General Foreman

Construct erect install and repair structures and fixtures of wood plywood and wallboard using carpenters hand tools and power have knowledge of structural design the ability to read blueprints and simple layouts. Must have knowledge of construction trade practices procedures techniques tools and equipment and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintain trash route for trash truck throughout facility.
  • Monitor and maintain facility rain outfalls.
  • Responsible for directing the Containers Storage Area (CSA).
  • Monitor vacuum trucks with chemical and water including oil spills berms for exchanger work skim life stations and maintaining sumps and containments throughout facility.
  • Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
  • Support tank cleaning efforts during spills.
  • Shipping and transportation of site waste.
  • Responsible for staff and collecting time sheets on up to 10 direct reports.
  • Complies with all quality policies specifications regulations and instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervising and Instructing:

  • Study specifications in blueprints sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
  • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools machines or power saws.
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Erect and destruct concrete forms scaffolding and ramps above ground level.
  • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace using hand tools.
  • Maintain records document actions and present written progress reports.
  • Construct forms or chutes for pouring concrete.
  • Verify trueness of structure set grade check for plumb etc.
  • Mix transfer and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Fabricate and install concrete reinforcing bars.
  • Place and finish concrete.
  • Maintain clean job site pick up tools/equipment secure job site each day-eliminate potential hazards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education no minimum education requirements.

Experience 5 8 years of Journeyman level experience.
