Job Summary
Solar and Commercial Electrician
Location
Nationwide England
Candidates can be based anywhere in England. Preference for candidates located near Hull or within reasonable commuting distance for initial deployment.
Engagement Type
Self-employed CIS contractor preferred
PAYE option available with 3-month probation period
Long-term ongoing contract for suitable candidates
Pay and Earnings
35 per hour

Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Solar and Commercial Electricians to join a growing nationwide team delivering solar PV installations alongside commercial electrical works. The role is predominantly solar focused with commercial projects used as gap fillers to ensure continuity of work and income.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable electricians seeking long-term stable contract work with flexibility and high earning potential.
Key Responsibilities

Installation testing and commissioning of solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties

Carrying out commercial electrical installations and maintenance as required

Fault finding and remedial works on electrical and solar systems

Completing works to current regulatory and safety standards

Travelling to sites across England as required

Ensuring high standards of workmanship and compliance

Requirements
Essential:
-
Fully qualified electrician

Proven experience in solar PV installation and commercial electrical work

Ability to work nationwide and stay away when required

Own van and tools

Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations

ECS or JIB Gold Card preferred
Desirable:

Solar PV certification
-
Testing and inspection qualifications
-
IPAF or similar access equipment certification
