Casa Brera a Luxury Collection Hotel Milan is currently recruiting aSecurity Supervisor.

This is full-time position 5 days a week with 2 days ideal starting date is beginning of February.

What youll do

The Security Supervisor ensures full compliance with safety and security policies for guests associates and suppliers. The role oversees and coordinates external security patrol activities leads the response to incidents and emergencies and manages key control and access systems to protect people and property.

Safety and Security

• Work in coordination with the external health and safety consultant (RSPP) and relevant stakeholders to ensure the implementation and compliance with the DVR (Risk Assessment Document)
• Ensure the application of property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g. evacuations medical emergencies natural disasters).
• Enforce company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean safe and secure environment for associates guests and suppliers.
• Identify and correct unsafe procedures or conditions in all areas report them to management and register them into the company system.
• Use and supervise that appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE) is wore by staff and report to the upper management in case of negligence
• Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks and deliver safety and security training to hotel associates
• Maintain regular communication with local authorities including police and other relevant agencies (Fire brigade local embassy and municipality) to ensure proper coordination and compliance

Surveillance

• Oversee the operations and shift schedules of the external Security/Patrol team ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with the service agreement.
• Ensure that Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems are operated in compliance with current legislation and company standards.
• Ensure the CCTV system HIK VISION is working properly and operative 247 reporting any malfunctions and being confident with it in order to collect images or footage in case of need.
• Ensure Security/Patrol team is vigilant and promptly identify any unauthorized or undesirable individuals on the property
• Identify and correct unusual circumstances safety violations employee safety issues or unresolved safety work orders report them to management and register them into the company system
• Ensure policies and procedures on property access for associates suppliers and guests are communicated and followed.

Incident/Emergency Response

• Coordinate the emergency response team and oversee its operations during critical situations.
• Provide assistance to guests and employees in the event of emergencies ensuring their safety and well-being
• Respond to the scene of guest or employee accidents and determine if emergency aid is required.
• Notify manager/supervisor local police or other appropriate individuals in the event of accidents attacks or other incidents.
• Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention and safety related incidents such as theft accidents physical hazards and fire alarms.
• Defuse guest or employee disturbances/altercations in accordance with company policies and procedures including summoning appropriate authorities if necessary and documenting incident.
• Respond to domestic problems with guests and call for outside assistance if necessary.
• Resolve safety hazard situations.
• Handle business interruptions and complaints such as suspicious individuals civil disturbances or demonstrations noise complaints intoxicated individuals etc.
• Conduct follow-up investigations of all accidents injuries losses or criminal acts occurring on the property.

Investigations/Reports

• Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents and release information only to authorized individuals.
• Collect information related to theft/fraud or lost items noise complaints assault complaints food poisoning complaints and other guest complaints and incidents.
• Conduct interviews with relevant parties in order to obtain statements and information related to incidents.
• Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report to ensure that all information is properly logged into company system MIRA PREPARED MY VAULT BUSINESS CONTINUITY&SALES FORCE
• Assist manager/supervisor in conducting regular documented safety inspections.

Key Management

• Supervise the key management systems procedures and operations (rooms keys security badges staff entrance) and liaise with related system supplier for system maintenance and updates.
• Conduct a key control audit including monitoring electronic key boxes issuing and receiving all master keys radios and beepers and keeping accurate records to ensure the safekeeping of these items.
• Ensure that everyone is granted the appropriate access rights in accordance with their role and responsibilities.
• Be accountable of all the tools related to key management (SAFLOK BY DORMAKABA SIPASS BY SIEMENS) ensuring the correct setup and maintenance of the systems and providing reports in case of need.

Guest Relations

• Address guests service needs in a professional positive and timely manner.
• Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions concerns and requests using brand or property specific process to resolve issues delight and build trust.
• Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities including assisting visually hearing or physically impaired individuals within guidelines
• Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile eye contact and a friendly verbal greeting using the guests name when possible.
• Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.

What youll need

• Experience in security&safety ideally in the hospitality or luxury hospitality.
• English and Italian language knowledge
• Knolwedge of Italian safety&security legislation
• Ability to localize international processess&procedures
• Able to work with a variety of different software systems and applications
