About the Role:
We are seeking two highly experienced and client-approved Coating/Painting/Insulation Inspectors for a critical 34 month assignment on a major LNG/gas facility project. You will be the frontline of quality assurance ensuring all protective coating painting and insulation activities meet the highest standards of project specifications and industry codes. This role demands a meticulous professional with a proven track record in the oil and gas sector.
MANDATORY PREREQUISITE:
All applicants must have prior approval from QE LNG or provide confirmation of immediate eligibility for the QE LNG approval process. Applications without this will not be reviewed.
Key Responsibilities
You will implement and execute comprehensive QA/QC surveillance and inspection activities including:
- Executing inspections as per approved Quality Control Plans (QCP) Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and project procedures.
- Preparing completing and signing off on all surveillance inspection and test records.
- Witnessing and certifying field procedures and tests (e.g. surface preparation coating application DFT/WFT holiday detection insulation installation).
- Maintaining accurate logs for the calibration of all inspection and testing equipment.
- Ensuring the correct revision of all project documents (AFC drawings specs codes) is used on-site.
- Conducting surveillance of subcontractor work to ensure strict compliance with quality and contractual requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Engineering Diploma or suitable equivalent plus relevant Trade Certificates.
Professional Certification (Mandatory):
- NACE ICORR BGAS or ERS Level 2 certification (or equivalent) for painting coating and insulation inspection.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an inspection professional in the Oil & Gas industry.
- At least 5 years of this experience must be in the onshore/offshore Gas Facilities sector.
- LNG project experience is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience across project phases: procurement fabrication installation hook-up and commissioning.
