Job Summary
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Coatings Inspector with a minimum of 8 years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector. The candidate must hold valid NACE Level 2 or BGAS certification and be QatarEnergy (QE) pre-approved. The role involves inspection monitoring and quality assurance of coating and painting activities to ensure compliance with project specifications international standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection of surface preparation and coating applications in accordance with project specifications and international standards.
Ensure compliance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) Method Statements and QE requirements.
Conduct surface profile measurements cleanliness tests DFT checks holiday testing adhesion testing and environmental monitoring.
Verify materials coatings and consumables meet project and client specifications.
Witness and document blasting and painting activities.
Maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation.
Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Coordinate with QA/QC team contractors and client representatives.
Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures at site.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Coatings/Painting Inspector in Oil & Gas projects.
Valid NACE Level 2 or BGAS Grade 2 Certification (mandatory).
QatarEnergy (QE) Pre-Approval (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of international standards (SSPC NACE ISO).
Familiarity with inspection instruments and calibration requirements.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and coating specifications.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in refinery offshore or pipeline projects.
Knowledge of protective coatings tank linings structural steel coatings and pipeline coatings.
Immediate availability is an advantage.
