Overall Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the organisations health and safety function. Reporting directly to the General Manager the Health & Safety Manager will ensure the highest standards of safety for employees passengers and the wider community through robust policies proactive risk management and a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities

Develop implement and maintain comprehensive health and safety strategies plans policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and recognized industry best practice.

Implement appropriate controls and conduct necessary checks to ensure full compliance with established safety systems.

Continuously monitor organizational adherence to health and safety regulations and internal standards.
-
Lead detailed investigations into workplace incidents and accidents ensuring accurate reporting root cause analysis and effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Prepare incident and accident reports analyze data to identify trends and recommend measures to mitigate risks.
-
Provide expert advice guidance and support to management teams and employees on all health and safety matters.
-
Coordinate and deliver health and safety training across all levels to promote awareness competence and a positive safety culture.

Lead the planning and execution of audits and risk assessments across the organization ensuring findings are actioned and tracked to completion.

Collaborate with external agencies regulatory bodies and emergency services as required.
-
Present regular updates and performance reports to senior management on safety performance risks and areas for improvement.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes and ensure organizational policies and practices remain compliant.
-
Champion wellbeing and mental health initiatives within the workplace.

Conduct required checks including alcohol and drug testing of employees as necessary.

Develop implement and maintain an ISO-compliant Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with relevant safety and quality standards.
