Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Source evaluate and qualify new suppliers to ensure a robust supply chain.
• Generate and manage purchase orders for raw materials components and MRO items.
• Monitor supplier performance for quality delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with production and planning to forecast material needs and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or delivery.
• Resolve discrepancies related to invoices quality issues and delivery delays.

Recommended Qualifications

• Direct purchasing experience (3-5 years) in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for purchasing inventory and production planning.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings specifications and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Understanding of supply chain principles logistics and inventory management.

Bonus Qualifications

• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes materials or components.
• Experience with international sourcing logistics and Incoterms.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g. CPSM CPIM).
• Proficiency with advanced ERP functionalities for forecasting or inventory optimization.
