Key Responsibilities

Develop write and validate CMM inspection programs from engineering drawings and CAD models.
Interpret complex engineering blueprints 3D models and GD&T specifications.
Set up and fixture parts on CMMs ensuring proper alignment and measurement conditions.
Generate detailed inspection reports and analyze measurement data for compliance.
Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs resolving measurement issues and discrepancies.
Collaborate with quality manufacturing and engineering teams on inspection strategies and problem-solving.
Maintain and optimize CMM programs to improve efficiency and accuracy of inspections.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso).
Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
Knowledge of metrology principles and various inspection techniques.
Experience operating and troubleshooting CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

Proficiency with various CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA) for model interpretation.
Experience with other advanced metrology equipment (e.g. laser scanners vision systems).
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
Ability to design or contribute to the design of CMM fixturing.
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar quality certification.
