The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials in-process production and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and equipment (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges CMM) to conduct accurate dimensional and functional checks.
Document inspection results thoroughly create quality reports and maintain accurate records of all quality control activities.
Identify isolate and report non-conforming materials or products initiating corrective action procedures as required.
Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Calibrate and maintain inspection and test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality discrepancies and improve manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or assurance role.
Proficiency in using various measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges) and interpreting technical drawings.
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001 GMP) and quality control methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab) or ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent certification.
Proficiency in operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or vision inspection systems.
