As we continue to grow our Bankruptcy & Restructuring group we are seeking a senior-level attorney to expand our debtor-side capabilities.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney with a focus on debtor representation and a portable book of business to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to take a leadership role in an established practice with the infrastructure and support to grow further.

Responsibilities:

• Represent businesses and individuals in Chapter 7 11 and 13 bankruptcy matters

• Manage litigation strategy filings motions discovery court appearances and settlement negotiations

• Advise clients on restructuring workouts and creditor negotiations

• Collaborate with colleagues in litigation real estate and corporate law on related matters

• Originate and manage client relationships; develop new business opportunities

• Mentor and supervise junior attorneys or legal staff as appropriate

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Admitted to practice law in the State of New York

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in bankruptcy law with a strong preference for debtor-side focus

• Demonstrated ability to handle matters independently from intake through resolution

• Strong courtroom and client-facing skills

• Portable book of business strongly preferred
