Position: Inside Technical Sales Engineer Industrial Automation
Location: Charlotte NC
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite 1 day remote after 3-6 months training)
Position Overview
Our client a national leader in industrial automation is seeking an Inside Technical Sales Engineer to join the Direct Marketing Team. This role focuses on generating and managing opportunities with mid-sized manufacturers and OEM clients typically involving project values between $20K and $50K.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize AI-driven sales tools and prospect lists to identify and contact high-potential leads across the U.S.

Conduct outbound calls and drive new opportunity creation and closure.

Schedule and lead technical discovery meetings through Microsoft Teams.

Work closely with internal engineering teams to develop customized automation solutions.

Maintain accurate CRM records and manage multiple prospects in a fast-paced environment.

Follow a hybrid work model after completing a 36 month training period.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred in Engineering Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering; industrial automation experience strongly preferred.

Proven track record generating new business opportunities and meeting outbound activity targets.

Strong technical acumen with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Experience with CRM platforms and AI-enabled engagement tools.

Excellent interpersonal listening and relationship-building skills.

Organized detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities.
