Summary:
The Technical Support Officer provides complex technical and core administrative support to the bereavement services team at the London Borough of Hillingdon. This role is vital for maintaining high standards of customer care and operational efficiency ensuring a residents first approach while meeting tight performance targets and legal requirements. The officer must be flexible capable of learning specialized tasks quickly and able to work across various locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled technical administration for bereavement services managing routine and emergency tasks while maintaining consistent service standards.
- Act as a first point of contact responding to customer queries sensitively and escalating complex issues to managers or professional workers
- Input service packages into case management systems resolve complex system issues (e.g. ICS Protocol and Civica) and produce management reports.
- Resolve complex financial queries ensure compliance with financial regulations and support budget commitment processes.
- dentify improvements to current workflows and support the implementation of change programs to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English.
Essentials:
- Experience dealing sensitively with members of the public in various situations and building professional relationships with senior colleagues and Council Members.
- Proven experience providing technical administration to multi-disciplinary teams including minute-taking and database management.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize high volumes of work accurately and handle routine matters on own initiative within strict deadlines.
