Job Summary
Our client - a new Silicon Valley based profitable B2C product startup building innovative mobile solutions for the planet is now looking for a Mobile QA Engineer
Type: Remote full-time

About project and position:
The product VPN - Super Unlimited Proxy is a Virtual Private Network that provides users online privacy and anonymity by creating a private network from a public internet connection.
The company has over 44M MAUs (and growing) with a solid customer base in the US and iOS Out of the top markets we track worldwide upon searching for the keyword VPN in the App Store they are the #1 product in 32 out of 40 countries follow (including in the US all of Western Europe etc.) and in the top 3 for all 40 addition they have been consistently ranked in the top 10 productivity apps in the US right up with Google Docs Google Sheets etc.
The product has >1.6M very high-quality ratings in iOS alone.
Now we are looking for a drive full of positive energy Mobile QA Engineers with a solid background in mobile testing who can work on multiple applications and ensure smooth work and the best user experience for the companys apps.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the Mobile Development team DevOps team and stakeholders
- Help the Customer Service Support team to troubleshoot user issues
- Verify initial task requirements
- Review update and execute test cases
- Pre-release and post-release activities
- Bug Reporting verifying of the fixes and changes further monitoring
Requirements:
- 1.5 - 2 years of experience in testing mobile applications for Android and iOS.
- Experience with bug-tracking systems
- Experience in writing test documentation Design Techniques Use Cases test plans etc.
- Experience with DB and knowledge of SQL;
- Understanding of CI/CD process and tools
- Experience with Virtual Machines;
- REST API
- Practical experience with GitHub
- Experience with analytics (Firebase Google Analytics etc.)
- Tools: Postman will be a strong plus to know Charles and JMeter
- Practical experience in API testing using tools such as Postman will be a strong plus;
- Good understanding of UX/UI principles
- Good knowledge of SDLC;
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment in a rapidly growing company
- Experience with Jira TestRail;
- OS: MacOS
- Knowledge of the Google Play/AppStore ecosystem
- Ability to write use cases and describe testing scenarios.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Have a lot of positive energy drive and a sense of ownership at both the engineering and business levels.
- Proactive attitude. Personality with an intention to suggest improve and directly impact the product positively
- Good communication skills - both verbal and written. Ability to communicate with people honestly and openly
