Job Summary
An Industrial Engineer reporting to Senior Industrial Engineer. He will be responsible for conducting OEE calculations executing layout and space planning utilizing data-driven insights and demonstrating problem-solving skills. His role will also involve maintaining accurate record systems to ensure efficiency and productivity within our production environment as well as line setups and determining and/or improving SOPS to run the processes.
Work together with partners customers and stakeholders within company (Production Planning Product Engineering etc.) to ensure smooth production of products while meeting quality output and cost targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with QMS & EHS legal and other requirements. Ensure all industrial processes and layouts adhere to safety & 5S regulations and guidelines. Champion a safety-first culture and actively participate in safety initiatives.
- Standards Maintenance: Develop implement and maintain machine standards cycle times work methods and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient processes throughout the organization. Continuously review and update these standards to reflect industry trends and advancements.
- Accountable to update standard flow chart hours and yield reflecting the latest machines standards cycle times and work methods to drive for product costing competitiveness.
- Productivity Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in productivity and efficiency across all aspects of the industrial process. Implement innovative solutions to streamline workflows reduce downtime and enhance overall output.
- Space Planning: Designing layouts that maximize the use of available space while accommodating equipment machinery and personnel effectively. Analyzing production processes to ensure smooth flow of materials and products.
- Process Optimization: Conduct regular process audits and root cause analyses to identify bottlenecks inefficiencies and areas of waste. Develop and execute action plans to address these issues and optimize performance.
- Metric Maintenance: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of various processes and operations e.g. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Analyse data and metrics to identify trends anomalies and areas that require attention and improvement.
- Line Tooling Jigs & Fixtures: Design develop and manage line tooling jigs and fixtures required to support the production process.
- Interpersonal Skills: Collaborate effectively with teams from different departments such as production engineering and quality control to understand their unique needs and challenges. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Communication: Communicate technical information and process changes clearly and concisely to all levels of the hierarchy from frontline workers to senior management. Present data-driven reports and recommendations to support decision-making.
