Position Summary
The Mod Center Technician is responsible for assembling modifying and packaging products according to customer specifications and company standards. This role requires mechanical aptitude attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality guidelines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble components and products following work instructions blueprints and specifications.
- Deburring and painting products.
- Utilize hand tools power tools and other equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet quality standards.
- Modify Rittal products based on customer requirements.
- Package finished products for shipment or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 6-S and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in hand tools measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand walk bend twist and reach frequently throughout the shift.
- Lift 2550 lbs to waist level and up to 25 lbs above shoulder level.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and changing assignments.
Safety Requirements
- Safety-toed footwear.
- Safety glasses with side shields.
- Additional PPE as required.
Work Environment
- Warehouse and manufacturing areas with exposure to varying temperatures dust and noise.
