Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth this Summer were looking to add a Quality Engineering Intern located in our Austin TX site.
Reporting to the Quality Manager the Intern the student will assist the Quality Team with projects impacting yields performance and supporting Quality Systems Suppliers Auditing Manufacturing Mass Production and NPI.
What a typical day looks like:
- Involvement with different Quality Engineering and Manufacturing areas (Supplier Quality Material Review Board (MRB) Quality Systems Manufacturing Quality Engineering Product Engineering Process Engineering NPI (New Product Introduction) and other cross-functional teams
- Analyze data and process flow procedures
- Research and create various reports and procedures as needed
- Collaborate with Engineering Teams to address Quality issues related to suppliers and products auditing results and overall improvement of KPIs (Metrics)
- Attend team meetings and support project work as needed
Student qualities were seeking for this internship assignment:
- Junior/Senior currently enrolled student majoring in Mechanical Industrial or Electrical & Computer Engineering (undergrad)
- Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
- Highly collaborative creative and excellent communication skills
- MS Office Suite
- Minitab or Statistical Software and basic concepts on Quality Core Tools and Management system
- Data visualization tools such as Tableau or other applications
- Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills
- Works well under pressure in fast-paced environment; excellent multi-tasking skills required
- Previous Quality related internship experience a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to start on May 26th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
