The Role

You will be responsible for leading Art across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to shape provision at KS5 where applicable. Alongside a reduced teaching timetable you will provide clear curriculum direction drive high-quality teaching and learning and support colleagues to deliver engaging and ambitious lessons.

Your responsibilities will include curriculum planning and development overseeing assessment and moderation monitoring progress and outcomes and ensuring consistency and high standards across the department. You will manage resources and budgets effectively promote enrichment opportunities such as exhibitions and trips and contribute to whole-school improvement as a middle leader.

Experience & Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Significant experience teaching Art at secondary level
Experience leading or readiness to step into a subject leadership role
Strong knowledge of curriculum design assessment and moderation
Excellent organisational communication and leadership skills
Passion for visual arts and creative education
