Key Responsibilities Project Engineering and Fire Fighting System Management
- Manage the planning execution and delivery of fire fighting system projects from inception through to completion ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards.
- Liaise with clients consultants contractors and internal stakeholders to establish technical requirements address queries and ensure alignment throughout project phases.
- Prepare and review system designs material submittals method statements and as-built documentation ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
- Attend site meetings carry out inspections and technical assessments and provide clear direction to installation teams.
- Identify and resolve project challenges through effective problem solving and proactive decision making.
- Assist the sales team by providing technical support preparing accurate project quotations and contributing to tender submissions as required.
- Track project progress control costs and ensure delivery against timelines and client expectations.
- Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to best practices at all project locations.
Required Skills Selling Skills Technical Knowledge and Communication for Fire Fighting Systems
- Proven selling skills in a project or engineering context with the ability to present fire protection solutions and influence stakeholders.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of fire fighting systems including design installation testing and compliance with international and local codes (NFPA Civil Defence or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the capability to explain complex concepts to clients and colleagues.
- Competence in reading schematics engineering drawings and producing technical documentation.
- Experience using relevant engineering software and standard office applications.
Qualifications & Experience Project Engineer for Fire Fighting Systems
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Fire Protection Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years experience in project engineering or technical roles within the fire fighting MEP or building services industry.
- Direct experience managing installation or commissioning of fire suppression systems sprinklers pumps hydrants and associated equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with local regulatory frameworks and fire safety standards is a strong advantage.
