The Splunk Engineer is responsible for developing configuring and optimizing Splunk-based solutions to support security monitoring operational intelligence and analytics use cases. This role focuses on building scalable dashboards alerts reports and integrations across SIEM and SOAR platforms in large distributed environments.

The Splunk Engineer works closely with security infrastructure and cloud teams to ingest normalize and analyze data from multiple sources including cloud platforms data lakes and enterprise systems. The role also emphasizes automation scripting and adherence to modern security frameworks and best practices.

• Design develop and maintain Splunk dashboards alerts searches and reports

• Implement and support SIEM and SOAR use cases using Splunk and related platforms

• Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines from cloud on-prem and hybrid environments

• Create trending metrics and management reports for operational and security insights

• Integrate Splunk with data lakes and data warehouses such as AWS S3 Snowflake and Databricks

• Develop automation and scripts using Python Ansible or PowerShell

• Support security monitoring aligned with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and CIS

• Troubleshoot complex issues across networking cloud and security layers

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in large-scale enterprise environments

• Ensure reliability performance and scalability of Splunk platforms

• 8 years of overall technology experience with hands-on Splunk development

• 5 years of experience with SIEM/SOAR tools (Splunk Elastic Datadog Cribl etc.)

• 3 years of experience with data lakes or data warehouses

• Strong knowledge of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and RegEx

• Experience in hybrid-cloud environments and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting

• Experience with scripting and automation tools

• Knowledge of modern security principles and regulatory frameworks
