Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNsLPNs)

We are hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVNs/LPNs) for one of our clients in Denton TX.

Job Description:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse at State Supported Living Center performs advanced vocational nursing work. Provides for the care treatment and general welfare of individuals residing at the State Supported Living Center who have intellectual disabilities complex medical mental health and/or behavioral health issues.

• Provide care for patients manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.
• Perform computer data entry Receive full training.
• Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically ICF-IDD Regulations DSSLC Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards Rules and Directives.

Requirements:

• Must possess valid LVN license.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience
• Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements.
• Must submit to HHSC required drug test.
• Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting.
• Must complete facility and HHSC required training.

Shift Schedule:

• 6:00AM 2:00 P.M. (3)
• 2:00 PM 10:00 PM (4)
• 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (1)

Days:

• Note: Shifts are alternating to meet staffing needs.
• Able to start any day during the week given 5 days before start date for processing all pre-employment requirements.

Duration:

• 6-month contract
• Please Note: The start date commences when all compliance and clearance requirements have been met by the selected candidate

• Two complete references from two different places of employment by supervisor of the nurse
• A NURSYS report showing any licenses held (must be current)
• Skills checklist
• Shift preference (6/2 or 2/10 or 10/6)

Selection Process:

• The Staffing Agency with the selected candidates will be notified by email.
