Role Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Java Developer to support and enhance modern microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot. The role involves building scalable secure and resilient backend services while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop support and troubleshoot microservices using Java & Spring Boot 3
- Build and consume RESTful APIs following best practices
- Work with Kafka and event-driven systems
- Deploy and support applications in Kubernetes environments
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for containerized deployments
- Use observability tools for monitoring and logging
- Document APIs using Swagger / OpenAPI
- Work with API Gateways and OAuth security
- Learn new tools and technologies as needed
- Demonstrate strong ownership adaptability and Hyatt core values
Required Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Java
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with REST APIs
- Exposure to Kubernetes & Docker
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Basic experience with Kafka or messaging systems
- Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog Splunk ELK etc.)
- Knowledge of OAuth & API Gateways
Preferred Skills:
- Agile / Scrum experience
- CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud exposure (AWS GCP or Azure)
