Job Summary

Role: Senior Markit EDM Developer.

Location: Fort Mill SC OR Charlotte NC OR Austin TX (Onsite).

Duration: Long Term Contract.

Job Summary:

The Senior Markit EDM Developer will serve as the technical lead for S&P Global Markit EDM (CADIS) platform owning the design and implementation of enterprise data management workflows that deliver trusted Golden Record data to front-to-back office systems. This high-visibility role demands deep EDM expertise advanced SQL engineering and financial domain knowledge to handle complex Security Price and Position data at scale.

Key Technical Responsibilities:

Core EDM Development:

Build and maintain complex workflows using Markit EDM Data Porters Constructors Matchers and Illustrators to orchestrate data ingestion transformation and distribution.
Design sophisticated Match/Merge logic and Survivorship rules to create unified Golden Records across Security Master Pricing and Positions.

Web UI & Exception Management:

Develop intuitive EDM Web UI interfaces enabling business users to manage exceptions overrides manual entries and workflow approvals efficiently.

Advanced SQL Engineering:

Write high-performance T-SQL stored procedures functions and views optimized for large-scale financial datasets.
Implement indexing strategies query optimization and execution plan analysis to achieve sub-second response times on terabyte-scale data.

Integration & ETL:

Orchestrate data ingestion from Bloomberg Refinitiv IDC via file feeds APIs and direct database extracts.
Manage distribution of mastered data to accounting engines risk platforms and portfolio management systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Markit EDM Expertise:

5 years dedicated S&P Global Markit EDM (CADIS) experience with recent work on v19 or v21.
Deep knowledge of Data Porters Constructors Matchers Illustrators and Web UI configuration.

SQL Power User:

Expert T-SQL including stored procedures CTEs window functions and dynamic SQL.
Proven performance tuning experience with execution plans statistics and partitioning.

Financial Domain:

Strong understanding of Equities Fixed Income Derivatives and trade lifecycle data requirements.
Experience mastering Security Price Corporate Actions and Position reference data.

Technical Stack:

Core: Markit EDM (CADIS) T-SQL MS SQL Server.
Integration: XML XSLT C#/.NET (custom plugins).
DevOps: CI/CD pipelines Autosys/Control-M scheduling.
