Job Description
We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer to join our Clients team based in Cork
The Health & Safety Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety standards across civil construction projects. Ensure regulatory compliance promote a strong safety culture and assist in continuous improvement on active sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain project H&S plans RAMS and policies.
- Perform site inspections audits and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents/near-misses and produce reports.
- Deliver inductions toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Maintain safety documentation and compliance records.
- Liaise with project teams subcontractors and regulatory bodies.
- Support corrective actions and continuous safety improvements.
Requirements
Essential:
- Irish Level 7 qualification or NEBOSH Certificate.
- 24 years experience in civil construction utilities or infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and construction safety standards.
- Experience with risk assessments method statements and site inspections.
- Strong communication reporting and organisational skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience with PSDP/PSCS duties.
- Additional relevant certifications (Safe Pass Manual Handling First Aid).
- Familiarity with ISO 45001/14001.
