Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management the Enrollment Communications Manager is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive strategic enrollment communication plan in collaboration with the VP for Enrollment Management and the Director of Admission. This role will serve as the point person for all enrollment communications related to undergraduate enrollment. Key responsibilities include content creation and copywriting project management and timeline coordination creating digital campaigns related to the various stages of the recruitment process consulting with campus partners to implement communication needs monitoring and reporting on content performance and researching and developing best practices for email and SMS communications. The manager also prepares queries coordinates stakeholder proofing manages the email calendar troubleshoots issues generates metrics and provides guidance on email functionality. This role requires strong project management skills attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement in communication efforts.

- Help develop and manage our comprehensive strategic communications calendar.
- Work collaboratively with points of contact across the Enrollment division to develop communication materials and strategy in keeping with Hood Colleges branding guidelines.
- Serve as project coordinator for all print and digital communications and be a liaison with the Marketing and Communications Team.
- Create digital and print content to aid in the recruitment and enrollment process.
- Leverage TargetX to deliver targeted effective communications.
- Assist in the development of necessary tools (events portals queries) in TargetX.
- Ensure the website pages are kept up to date.
- Manage content and deadlines for third-party recruitment platforms.
- Stay up to date on trends and best practices in enrollment communications.
- Develop content for and manage presence of social media channels (Instagram Facebook and Tiktok).
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelors Degree- Marketing communications or related area.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience related to duties and responsibilities including internship or practicum experience.
- Knowledge of email & SMS marketing best practices.
- Experience with email distribution programs.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects from a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels with a variety of backgrounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn be flexible to change and be innovative.
Preferred Skills and Characteristics
- Knowledge of higher education communication workïows.
- Advanced knowledge of TargetX or other higher ed CRM system and familiarity with using a project management system.
Technology Skills
Proficient in MS Office tools (Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint) e-mail and Internet. Ability to learn new applications quickly including organization-wide information systems and department-specific software applications.
Language Skills
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively provide information and positively respond to questions from both external and internal customers both in person and by phone. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Proficient with statistical and financial concepts. Must have the ability to apply those concepts to tracking projections goal setting and interpreting reports. Must be able to draw conclusions from reports and make cost effective decisions regarding programs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a number of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form. Ability to work independently and as a member of a group in developing and executing project plans. Ability to work in the theoretical arena and apply logic as appropriate.
Compensation
This is a position with an annual starting salary range of $49500 to $55000 depending on circumstances including an applicants skills and qualifications certain degrees and certifications prior job experience training and other relevant factors. Hood College has provided a compensation range representing its good faith estimate of what the College may pay for the position at the time of posting.
