Are you compassionate calm under pressure and passionate about animal welfare Humane Colorado is looking for a Pet Admissions (Intake) team member to help welcome animals into our care. Youll support patrons during emotionally challenging moments gather intake information and assist in animal evaluations vaccinations and care. Purpose of Position: Provide assistance and compassionate care to patrons relinquishing animals to the shelter. Process animal intakes and/or evaluations to determine next steps for placement.
Responsibilities
- Delivery high-level customer service to the organizations patrons
- Provide daily animal relinquishment and stray intake services
- Interview patrons to gather information to create animal records in Chameleon database
- Manage emotionally difficult situations with strong communication skills
- Prepare and reconcile statements of daily financial transactions
- Provide end-of-life care for animals at their owners request
- Safely handle restrain and move animals
- Administer vaccinations and preventative medications
- Process animal evaluations to assess health and behavior
- Clean and sanitize evaluation and intake areas
- Perform euthanasia and related tasks.

Compensation: $20.00 - $20.90 per hour $1.00 per hour Spanish Language Differential (starting pay commensurate with market experience and equity)
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
Handle and restrain animals of various sizes weights and temperaments. Subject to animal bites or scratches. Work performed in high noise level areas. Exposure to cleaning chemicals fumes dust animal dander and bodily fluids. Physical efforts require constant bending stooping standing climbing stairs and walking. Frequent lifting of animals and objects with reasonable accommodation.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
