The NC Department of Administration is the business manager for North Carolina state government. The department oversees Government Operations such as building construction purchasing and contracting for goods and services maintaining facilities managing state vehicles acquiring and disposing of real property and operating auxiliary services such as courier mail delivery and the sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally the department manages many of the states advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the states population that have been traditionally underserved.

Job Duties: We are looking for enthusiastic and adventurous interns to join our team at the North Carolina Museumof Natural Sciences Day Camps! We spend our days helping with different camp activities while getting our hands dirty and
making amazing discoveries. As an intern you will be a key part of the magic helping our campers connect with the naturalworld.
Major Task to be Performed:
Get ready to learn how to run a summer camp! Before the day camp starts you will get anin-depth look at the fun activities crafts and curriculum our campers will enjoy this summer. During this time you will becomefamiliar with the camp program our procedures and how to assist our instructors during camp.
Our day camp program starts in the middle of your internship and that is where the fun really begins! You will assistalternating weeks either as an assistant instructor or a member of our Camp Administration team! As an assistant instructoryou will assist with our camps where you will be a mentor and role model for our campers by helping them ask questions anddiscover the world around them. You will get to hang around some pretty cool children while helping to inspire the nextgeneration of scientists and explorers. When your role reverses to being a member of our Camp Administration Team you will help man our program behind thescenes while you work with our K-12th grade campers. Your duties will change daily even hourly. Some examples areholding one of our Animal Ambassadors during a program assisting in launching rockets building bird nests eating lunchwith our campers and more!
Final Product or Outcome Anticipated: : You wont be an intern-youll be a camp hero learning to create unforgettablepositive experiences for our campers. Along the way youll become a pro at informal education and curriculum-based also sharpen your communication skills and pick up some essential office admin know-how all while helping to run ourfast-pasted educational program. Get ready to level up your skills and make a real difference!
