Mission Brief
As adesignengineer within thesystemintegration team you will find yourself at the heart ofproductdesign relatedefforts across Isar Aerospace.You will followthe hardwarefrom its early conception to its integrationintothe final product.Furthermore you will work closely withapassionateteam as well asthe rest of highly motivated colleagues across other teams/departments.You will play a crucial role in getting our orbital launch vehicle designed and built.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Fluid system related hardwaredesign and developmentfrom concept to manufacturing drawings
- Integration ofdesignsinto global assemblies
- Maintenance &improvement ofdesign andproduction engineering processes
- Preparation ofdetailedproduct developmentroad maps andmaintenanceof their timelines
- Communicationwith the affected stakeholders( assembly other engineering departments)to ensureefficient development ofproducts
- Preparation ofdesign reviews risk assessments trade-offstudiesetc.
- Implementation andmaintenanceof engineering change requests.
- Company focal point for external suppliers
Qualification Checklist
- Min. bachelorsdegree inaerospace engineering or similar.
- Proficiencywith design engineering tools such as NXTeamCenterSolidworksor similar
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and product data management (PDM)
- 3years of experiencein hardware design and development
- Strong knowledge in various manufacturing methods ( turning metal sheetcompositeoradditivemanufacturing)
- Experience with standards ( EN ISO AN/AS LN)
- Strong understanding ofgeometricdimensioning andtolerancing (GD&T)
- Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
- Resilientself-motivatedand able to work well under pressure
- Highly organized and proactive with high attention to detail
- Fluent in English
Bonus Skills
- Hands-on hardware production or assembly experience
- Experienceinlaunch vehicle design manufacturingorassembly techniquesfor structure and fluid systems
- Experience in aerospace hydraulic systemcomponentdesign
- Knowledge of fabrication integration processes and quality controlrelativeto tubes/piping and machined components
- Experience withmaterialpropertiesand surface treatments
- Proficient German
