Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive patient-centered nursing care using specialized clinical knowledge judgment and skills. The RN assesses plans implements and evaluates care for individuals and patient populations based on established nursing standards and evidence-based practice.
Care is delivered through a collaborative team-based model that emphasizes partnership with patients and families. Nursing practice is culturally sensitive age-appropriate and aligned with professional ethical standards including the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics and the applicable state Nurse Practice Act.
Unit Description Telemetry Stepdown (TELE SD)
The Telemetry Stepdown Unit is a 28-bed cardiac medical unit specializing in the recovery and management of patients following vascular and electrophysiology procedures. The unit provides care to patients with:
Acute myocardial infarction (MI)
Cardiac arrhythmias
Syncope
Cardiomyopathy
Heart failure
This unit supports patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and advanced medical management including:
Titration of multiple intravenous medications
Conscious sedation for cardioversion procedures
All nurses on the unit are ACLS certified and trained in ECG interpretation. This environment is well-suited for nurses interested in developing critical care skills and transitioning toward an ICU setting.

Education Requirements
Required:
Diploma in Nursing
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certifications & Licensure (Required)
Active Ohio RN License or Compact License
BLS American Heart Association
ACLS American Heart Association
