Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) to join a clinical care team. This role specializes in the assessment insertion and management of vascular access devices including PICC lines Midlines and Ultrasound-Guided IVs for patients with difficult IV access.
The RN will collaborate closely with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure safe and effective vascular access procedures while delivering high-quality patient care and supporting daily clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for patients requiring vascular access.
Insert Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs) Midlines and Ultrasound-Guided IV lines.
Evaluate patients with difficult IV access and determine appropriate vascular access solutions.
Conduct vascular access consultations and clinical assessments.
Review patient charts and relevant clinical information prior to procedures.
Conduct patient interviews to gather necessary medical and treatment information.
Coordinate with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary care teams.
Utilize the nursing process to assess plan implement and evaluate patient care.
Provide clinical support to providers staff and patients across the facility.
Assist with training and education of clinical staff related to vascular access procedures.
Maintain compliance with clinical protocols infection control and patient safety standards.
Work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach.
Required Qualifications
Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) from an accredited institution
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing experience
Minimum 1 year of vascular access experience
Hands-on experience inserting PICC lines Midlines and Ultrasound-Guided IVs
Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing Vascular Access Team (VAT) consults
Strong experience with IV assessment and vascular access device selection
Experience reviewing patient charts and conducting clinical interviews
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with interdisciplinary teams
