Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 312-Hour Shifts
Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $40 $50 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a night shift respiratory care team in a high-acuity acute care environment. The ideal candidate is clinically strong able to work independently and adaptable to fast-paced hospital settings. Pediatric respiratory experience is preferred.
Schedule Requirements
Every other weekend required
Holidays required based on weekend rotation
Block scheduling is not available
Key Responsibilities
Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapies
Initiate monitor and adjust oxygen therapy
Assist physicians with initiation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as needed
Conduct pulmonary function testing
Perform radial arterial punctures
Monitor and document patient responses to respiratory treatments
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care with minimal supervision in an acute care setting
Qualifications
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Respiratory Therapy
Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration
Minimum 2 years of postA.A.S. acute care clinical experience
Pediatric respiratory care experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
