The Job You Will Perform:
- This position is a sixteen-month developmental position in which the candidate will be exposed to multiple CPS pillars as best fits their experience and career goals.

- Understanding of the Commercial Packaging Solutions organization and the six pillars that make it up: Design Services Creative Services Mechanical Services Savings Services Technical Services and Innovation Services.
- The successful candidates must be open to relocation opportunities. The Commercial Packaging Solutions Associate reports to the Technical Services Manager and will receive training in one of our corrugated manufacturing facilities or customer commitment centers to learn the different components of CPS. This position could be located in several areas of the United States.
- The individual will also have a CPS mentor onsite at their assigned location.
- Provide solutions and services to the Commercial Packaging Solutions teams to help build a competitive advantage for the commercial organization. This position influences the companys ability to provide innovative solutions to our customers faster than the competition as well as developing strong talent to continue to grow our base of creative resources.

- With guidance from your mentor follow the Commercial Packaging Solutions Associate curriculum
- Provide customers plants and sales with prototypes to ensure acceptance of solutions
- Safely conduct all activities.
- Manage sample stock inventory operate CAD table and follow all housekeeping practices
- Provide solutions to commercial organization as well as customers
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by understanding and practicing safety guidelines at both IP and customer facilities
- Maximize value to IP and the customer thru efficient use of resources tools and gained knowledge
- Develop and create innovative packaging solutions
- Assist plants in the optimization of fiber utilization thru understanding board characteristics plant mix equipment specifications and most importantly customer needs and expectations
- Ability to balance expectations of internal/external customers
The Qualifications Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:
- This is considered a developmental position in function. As such the successful candidate should have a passion for a career in corrugated packaging. Having experience or associated class work that demonstrates knowledge of our industry is preferred.
- Bachelors degree or higher preferred (Degree in packaging/mechanical engineering preferred)
- Short-term geographic flexibility
- Individual should have good communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective working relationships
- Ability to manage customers design needs cost savings and technical projects
- Support and assist with new product development
- Computer skills (CAD Word Excel Power point)
- Mechanically competent
