Position Overview
A pediatric acute care facility in Syracuse NY is seeking experienced Pediatric ICU Registered Nurses for day-shift contract assignments. The RN will provide high-acuity critical care to pediatric patients and must be able to function independently with minimal orientation.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience (within the past 2 years)
Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center required
Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size and acuity
Active New York State RN license
BLS certification required (must be current or eligible for recertification)
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Compliance Requirements
No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation
No prior involvement as a defendant in a professional liability claim
Verification of legal authorization to work in the United States
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Subject to drug screening and criminal background check
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a high-acuity pediatric ICU setting
Perform advanced patient care skills with minimal supervision
Conduct thorough nursing assessments appropriate for critical care patients
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
