We are seeking an experienced Scheduler/Dispatcher to oversee daily dispatching of crews and associated duties. The ideal candidate will be reliable detail-oriented and positive who will remain with the company long term and be part of our future growth and success. We are a solid company that has been in business for more than 25 years. The work environment is busy but fun. We have a dedicated team that is passionate about our company. We are dispatching up to 9 EC crews and 5 Street Sweeping crews each day. The salary is competitive paid holidays vacation medical dental and 401K plans. Bilingual (Spanish) is important.
EROSION CONTROL STREET SWEEPING& DEWATERINGSCHEDULING
- Take scheduling calls from clientsand PMsthroughout theworkday
- Addschedulingcall-ins to master PM if more infoneeded ($ or scope)
- Adjustschedule and check for changesmultiple times.(deleted jobs scope changes)
- Create Daily dispatch of schedule with Truck/Trailer #s crews & priority
- Confirm needed equipment and materials are on hand
- Include scopedetailsmapsand materialswithjobstags
- Distribute schedule to crews andoffice (new format)
- Use the same crew for multi day or specialized jobs whenever possible
- Assign staggered start times minimize daily texts
- Order/call-off rental equipment when needed
- Order Rock when needed
- Review daily job tags & interview crews for missing in completed job tags daily
- Keep OTto less than 1 hour/man per day. Less than 1.5 hours/street sweeper driver per day
- Report unfinished jobs to PM and roll to next day
MANAGEMATERIALINVENTORY
- Track erosion BMP inventorymultiple times perweek
- Order materials as needed to stay above summer/winter minimums
- Order Dewatering Materials
MANAGETOOLS &EQUIPMENT
- Track inventory on shovels hammersetc.
- Track inventory and readiness ontrenchers pumps hoses etc.
- Track vehiclevactor street sweeper&trailer readiness
GENERAL
- Manage quick and efficient changes to daily schedule and routine
- Participate in meetingsas needed
- Providecontinuing Customer Service
- KeepDailyAttendanceLog
- Keep Post-con Log
SAFETY
- Maintainrequired safety certifications arecurrent(First Aid CPR etc.)
- Maintain/up-dateAll safety manuals- IIPP SDS sheets fleet safety programetc.
- Fulfill IIPP and SDS requests from clients
- Monitor/enforcedaily PPE usein the yard warehouse and on the jobsite
What were looking for:
- GED or High School Diploma.
- OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of construction experience with repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure concrete structures piping and detention/retention basins.
- Safeland Training preferred but not required.
- Able to perform manual labor.
- Knowledge of sediment and erosion control.
- General carpentry and plumbing experience is helpful.
- Comfortable using pickups/equipment trailers.
- Good driving record.
- Thorough understanding of safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations.
