The NC Department of Administration is the business manager for North Carolina state government. The department oversees Government Operations such as building construction purchasing and contracting for goods and services maintaining facilities managing state vehicles acquiring and disposing of real property and operating auxiliary services such as courier mail delivery and the sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally the department manages many of the states advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the states population that have been traditionally underserved.

Job Duties: EAGLE annual controls assessment will assist DOA in recognizing opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness in business processes and operations.
Major Task to be Performed: Under supervision the intern will participate in writing process narratives to identify controls perform walkthroughs of the identified controls test controls draft reports to communicate the results and assists with various internal audit activities.
Final Product or Outcome Anticipated: Reports submitted to the Internal Audit Council and the Office of State Controller.
Academic Majors Desired: BS/BA degree candidate with a concentration in: Accounting Business Economics Finance Information Systems or Technology related degree.
