Barista

Summary of Position:

If youre a skilled barista with a love for specialty coffee and a knack for making people smile we invite you to apply to join our team for our locations in New Britain and West Hartford. Early birds with flexible schedules are especially encouraged to apply. Starting pay is $16.94 per hour plus tips. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Craft exceptional coffee experiences: Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and related products with precision and care.
• Connect with guests: Build rapport with customers provide personalized recommendations and ensure a memorable experience.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment: Excel in a fast-paced setting while also demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness during slower periods.
• Champion cleanliness and safety: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in all aspects of your work.
• Foster an inclusive and positive team environment: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a culture of excellence where everyone feels welcome and valued.

• Experience: 1 year of experience in a specialty (third-wave) coffee shop strongly preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills:
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Excellent active listening memorization and recall abilities.
• Knowledge of specialty brewing equipment operation preferred.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Roasting knowledgeexperience or interest is also a plus.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability: Flexible schedule with some weekend availability preferred and the ability to start early in the morning.
