General Purpose
The league scorekeeper will do the scorekeeping and timekeeping for the grade 5-6 and 7-8 youth basketball games. Must be available on Saturdays 9am-2pm. Season is scheduled for January 10 February 14.
Union Affiliation: Non-Union
Pay Grade: $19.15 Hourly
Remote Tier 1: Zero (0) days remote/week
Essential Job Functions
- Follow all departmental rules and regulations.
- Operate the scoreboard and maintain scorekeeping using official scorebook forms.
- Communicate game results to supervisor.
- Check area for safety hazards and report deficiencies to supervisor.
- Report all accidents/incidents occurring within jurisdiction to supervisor.
- Required to be on site 15 minutes before the program starts for set up/preparation of games
- Required to tear down and clean up at the conclusion of program.
- Communicate with participants in a professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements
- Ability to actively support City diversity equity and cultural competency efforts within stated job responsibilities and work effectively across diverse cultures and constituencies.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity equity and inclusion as evidenced by ongoing trainings and professional development.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of related work experience preferred.

- Follow all departmental and rules and regulations.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Ability to work weekends as required.
