Torch Technologies is seeking a Space Enterprise Test Engineer Craftsman - Sr to support operational test campaigns for space command and control systems supporting Space Domain Awareness for Delta 12 under the U.S. Space Force Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM). This role involves evaluating operational and laboratory-based systems across the space enterprise including ground on-orbit link and command and control/battle management systems while contributing to test planning execution and analysis in a collaborative environment.
As Space Enterprise Test Engineer Craftsman - Sryour duties will include the following but are not limited to:
Support and execute operational test campaigns and events for space command and control systems
Develop test products for planning execution analysis and data collection
Analyze system performance and operational architectures
Conduct assessments and present findings at engineering reviews
Establish requirements for evaluation tools methods and processes
Coordinate test planning and execution activities across stakeholders
Design realistic operational test scenarios
Support testing on fielded systems and in lab environments
Manage and lead small test teams and coordinate cross-functional efforts
Ensure timely completion of test activities and deliverables
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Masterss degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience.
10 years of experience in space systems or missile defense system analysis
Active TS/SCI DoD clearance
Test engineering experience on complex acquisition programs
Experience supporting or analyzing command and control / battle management systems
Knowledge of space sensors ground equipment and on-orbit satellite systems
Operational Test experience with organizations such as AFOTEC ATEC NOT&E MOT&E STARCOM or DOT&E
Experience producing Operational Test documentation (TES TEMP Test Campaign Plans Test Event Plans Test Reports)
Familiarity with DoDI 5000.02 and OSD Test & Evaluation policies
Ability to manage complex test events and multiple projects simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with operational effectiveness survivability and suitability analysis
Experience coordinating with headquarters staff
Experience in event test planning and scenario design
Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams
Strong organizational and technical writing skills
Experience working in collaborative environments with Government and contractor personnel
