Our People team are looking for an experienced Head of People Operations to join them on an interim FTC basis.

At Baringa we have a People team of 80 employees globally 14 of which work within our People Operations team. The People Operations team work at the heart of the People team effectively collaborating with ourstakeholdersto support the recruitment new joiner and employee lifecycle of our people and leadership whilst ensuringoptimal efficiency and output as Baringagrows

This role reports directly into the HR Director and will have overall responsibility for a team of 13 employees.

What you will be doing

  • You will have overall accountability for our Recruitment Operations Employee Screening and HR Operations at Baringa working with key stakeholders across Baringa Enablement and the Consulting business to ensure optimal processes policies and best practice globally
  • You will support our Recruitment Operations Lead to oversee the end-to-end recruitment operations process globally ensuring efficiency and compliance with local employment legislation.
  • Working with our Employee Screening Lead you will ensure our employee screening (new joiners and contractors) and additional client screening meets regulatory compliance and safeguards company standards and practices. You will also support the transformation of our employee screening space to ensure optimal efficiency and ways of working.
  • You will work with our HR Operations Lead to direct the delivery of HR operational activity including onboarding offboarding and employee lifecycle management ensuring a seamless and consistent employee experience.
  • This role will have ownership of develop and maintain all global people policies ensuring they are up-to-date legally compliant and aligned with Baringas values and tone.
  • You will collaborate with other People teams to support Baringas efforts in achieving and maintaining key business accreditations (e.g. Ecovadis) acting as the principal point of contact for these accreditations
  • You will oversee all People MI (Recruitment to HR) ensuring the team provide accurate timely and actionable insights to our Recruiters HRBPs & senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and lead People Operations in new market entries. This includes scoping out market requirements for business cases defining employee handbooks and people policies and ensuring compliant and culturally acceptable processes and procedures are in place from day 1 of mobilisation
  • Working closely with our HR Systems team you will drive and support the evolvement of our People systems (Greenhouse & Workday) setting clear priorities alignment to our roadmap and ensuring the timely delivery of system enhancements integrations and support.
  • You will be accountable for ensuring Baringas adherence to internal and external auditory requirements across all People Operations including overseeing any audit activities

Your skills and experience

  • Significant experience in People Operations or HR leadership roles within a global organisation.
  • Demonstrable expertise across a range of HR/People Operations
  • Project management experience the successful candidate will have proven experience running and leading both small and large scale projects
  • Good understanding of international employment legislation and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record in managing HR systems and people MI.
  • Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead teams through change
  • Analytical mindset with proven experience in continuous improvement and operational excellence
