Qualifications
The successful candidate for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Clinical Education will possess the following: An earned entry level doctoral degree ( DPT ) from a CAPTE accredited university. Must be a Physical Therapist who is licensed in the United States. Must be eligible for or currently possess physical therapy licensure in New York State. Active membership in the American Physical Therapy Association. Record of service and student engagement. A minimum of 3 years full-time (or equivalent) of post-licensure clinical practice and a minimum of 2 years serving as a Site Coordinator of Clinical Education and/or Clinical Instructor or experience in teaching curriculum development and administration in a PT program. Commitment to the development of strong academic-clinical partnerships by enlisting clinical education sites across a variety of patient populations and practice settings and supporting their engagement with our students during clinical integration experiences. Commitment to ensuring that the clinical education component of the curriculum maintains compliance with CAPTE federal/state regulations institutional policies and placement site policies.
