Kelly Ford Melbourne is seeking experienced and Ford Certified Diesel Technicians to join our award-winning service team. If you are passionate about working on diesel engines enjoy diagnosing and repairing Ford vehicles and take pride in delivering quality work we want to hear from you.
As a Diesel Mechanic you will perform repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty and medium-duty diesel trucks as well as chassis work on RVs and motorhomes (no house-related repairs). Diesel Technician Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance diagnostics and repairs on Ford diesel trucks and chassis vehicles
- Inspect test and troubleshoot vehicles using diagnostic tools and manufacturer checklists
- Complete assigned service and repair orders efficiently and accurately
- Follow all factory repair procedures safety standards and torque specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Road test vehicles to ensure quality of repair
- Tag and return warranty parts as required
- Stay current with Ford factory training and service bulletins
- Deliver excellent customer service and uphold dealership standards
Diesel Technician Qualifications
- Ford Diesel Certification
- One or more years of dealership or fleet diesel repair experience preferred
- Experience with other diesel brands (Chevy Dodge etc.) is a plus
- Valid drivers license (CDL a plus)
- Strong work ethic attention to detail and team-oriented attitude
- Must provide own tools
- High school diploma or equivalent required
