Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Syracuse NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month
Position Overview
A healthcare facility is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide patient-centered therapy services across acute care and outpatient settings. This role supports patients in improving functional independence through individualized treatment planning interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician
Evaluate patients to determine functional limitations and establish individualized treatment goals
Develop implement and modify treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals patients and families
Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs) mobility and functional independence
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation reports and patient records
Participate in patient rounds clinics interdisciplinary conferences and care planning meetings
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans adaptive strategies and equipment use
Maintain and manage therapy equipment and supplies
Support staff education and training programs as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
Active New York State Occupational Therapy license or eligibility
Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience
Experience in acute care and outpatient settings
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
