Job Summary
Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Montour Falls NY
Contract Type: Long-Term / Long-Term Care
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening Shift
Schedule: 4 shifts per week 8 hours per shift
Pay Rate: $37/hour
Position Overview
A long-term care facility is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. The LPN will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure resident safety comfort and overall well-being while maintaining compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Monitor assess document and report residents vital signs and changes in condition
Perform wound care and basic medical procedures within scope of practice
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
Maintain accurate timely and compliant patient documentation
Collaborate effectively with Registered Nurses physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and resident care needs
Ensure adherence to facility policies procedures and state regulations
Promote patient safety dignity confidentiality and comfort
Support residents physical emotional and psychosocial health
Required Qualifications
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in good standing
Minimum of 1 year experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care setting preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification
Strong communication teamwork and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Physical ability to stand walk lift and assist residents as required
