Job Summary
Join us for an exciting career journey as ourField Service Engineer. Whether youre a recent graduate or someone with a few years of experience youll be the friendly face representing Kongsberg to customers all around the world. Training will be provided to ensure you excel in your role.
Your primary responsibilities includeinstallation and commissioningof two critical systems.
- AutoChief Propulsion Control Systems: Propulsion control on vessels ensuring efficient and safe operation.
- K-Chief Marine Automation Systems: Integrate various shipboard functions enhancing operational safety.
- Youll also performservices and maintenanceon sailing ships equipped with Kongsbergs equipment and providein-house technical supportto customers and colleagues.
As our Service Engineer youll also need to know how to prioritize tasks and handle complicated jobs step by step. Join us and be part of a team thats changing the maritime industry!
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree Y-Veienor equivalent in fields such aselectro automation or electronics. Students who finish their bachelors degree this semester are encouraged to apply. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education
- Field experiencein maritime shipping or offshore oil and gas installations is valuable.
- Fluency in bothEnglish and Norwegian(both written and oral) is essential.
- Motivated for travelling worldwide
This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
Work Location and Contact:
Youll be based inHorten Norway but your work will take you around the world.
