Role Overview
Reporting to the Group Finance Director the Financial Planning & Commercial Insights Manager is responsible for reshaping how finance supports the organisation. Youll partner with senior leaders to understand key drivers risks and opportunities while building robust forecasting reporting and analytics capabilities. Your leadership will position finance as a trusted advisor balancing financial sustainability with ECHs strong client-first purpose.
Responsibilities
Lead the FP&A function managing two Finance Business Partners across key portfolios.
Implement driver-based forecasting rolling forecasts and long-term (10-year) financial models.
Deliver high-quality executive and board reporting with clear commercial narratives.
Develop KPI dashboards and predictive analytics to support proactive decision making.
Drive the transition from Excel-heavy processes to Workday and Power BI.
Establish a clear reporting and analytics roadmap aligned to business strategy.
Improve data quality reporting timeliness and forecasting accuracy.
Partner with senior operational leaders to build commercial capability and insight.
Lead budgeting processes to ensure data structures support actionable insights.
Act as a change leader bringing stakeholders on the transformation journey with empathy and credibility.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role you will bring:
CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
Advanced Excel capability (including Power Pivot and complex financial modelling).
Proven experience in driver-based forecasting rolling forecasts and predictive planning.
Strong commercial insight with the ability to translate data into clear actionable recommendations.
Experience transitioning from Excel-based reporting to self-service BI platforms.
Demonstrated ability to influence Executives and Boards through compelling storytelling.
Hands-on leadership experience with a coaching and mentoring approach.
High emotional intelligence resilience and confidence in driving change.
Exposure to Workday Power BI Microsoft Business Central or Fabric (highly regarded).
