SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician I is required to perform equipment maintenance on machines with Mechanical Electrical Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems. Some fabrication and welding are also required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direction of a Lead/Supervisor perform preventative maintenance general maintenance installations and repairs to electrical electronic mechanical pneumatic hydraulic equipment/systems and/or routine maintenance duties on the facility building grounds equipment and machinery at the site
- Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools including but not limited to hand tools saws drills cutting devices grinding tools measuring devices etc.
- Work with an attitude toward continuous improvement with a team approach to problem-solving and decision making.
- Prioritize and assign jobs monitor variances.
- Ensure that appropriate records instructions and prints are maintained.
- Perform duties a safe manner at all times.
- Follow policies and procedures including manufacturers instructions and related regulations (EHS Hazcom LOTO electrical/mechanical safety etc.)
- Perform Machine Maintenance
- Perform Plant and operations maintenance
- Operating Procedures and/or work instructions. Is responsible for the quality of own work
- Follows schedules procedures and 6S housekeeping practices
- Be goal-oriented toward manufacturing cost and work center efficiency
- Offers ideas suggestions and improvement concepts for improving the utilization and productivity of the Maintenance Department
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
- Proficiency using hand tools power tools diagnostic equipment and measuring devices.
- Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation (advanced skills are a plus).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Experience with mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
