Job Summary
Star Ford of Big Spring is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing service team. Were looking for a skilled motivated technician with a strong diagnostic background and a commitment to quality certifications are preferred but technicians certified with other OEMs are encouraged to apply and we leverage the Ford FAST program to help you transfer credits and get Ford-certified quickly.

Responsibilities
Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders
Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment
Diagnose maintain and repair automotive systems including:
Engine
Transmission
Electrical
Steering & suspension
Brakes
HVAC
Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding additional repairs and time estimates
Execute warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines
Maintain high-quality workmanship and follow all dealership procedures
Qualifications
2 years of automotive service technician experience preferred
ASE certification preferred
Ford certification required (or willingness to obtain through FAST program)
Prior Ford dealership experience is a plus
Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting abilities
Proficient with electronic diagnostic equipment
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Strong customer service and communication skills
Positive attitude team-oriented work style and commitment to improvement
Ability to learn new technologies procedures and manufacturer specifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
