Description of Work

Division of Mental Health Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Services (DMHDDSUS) is seeking a Family Services Lead with a deep knowledge of behavioral health systems experience in large-scale program implementation and a commitment to improving outcomes for help drive statewide initiatives to improve mental health substance use and justice-involved services for families across North Carolina. This position wil help to develop and implement strategic programs for residential care and integrated behavioral health services shape policy and service delivery models that promote equity access and innovation and work closely with state agencies providers advocates and communities to build a responsive and inclusive system of care.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $61545 - $107705

Recruitment Range: $61545 - $88000

The Knowledge Skills and Abilities/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred.

  • Considerable experience with leading large-scale implementation of behavioral health services and policies.
  • Considerable knowledge of MH/ SU care models.
  • Working knowledge of behavioral health services and systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other state agencies providers of services advocacy groups and other organizations.

This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.

DMH/DD/SUS is committed to the needs of any North Carolinian who seeks mental wellness or lives with a mental health issue SUD TBI or I/DD. We will focus on these groups by advancing new tailored interventions or by modifying existing interventions to better meet their needs.
