Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Contract)
Location: Brooklyn NY
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Compensation & Schedule
Pay Rate: $65.00 $70.00 per hour
Shift Type: Flex Shift
Schedule: 3 days per week
Daily Hours: 7.5 hours
Weekly Total: 22.5 hours (varied schedule)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist for a short-term contract assignment in Brooklyn NY. This role offers a competitive hourly rate and a flexible part-time schedule. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring strict adherence to radiation safety standards and departmental protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of dedicated CT experience.
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Licenses & Certifications
Current New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T).
Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) and CT.
Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging
Perform CT examinations in accordance with established protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Produce high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation.
Equipment & Quality Control
Conduct daily quality control checks and equipment calibrations prior to patient studies.
Ensure imaging equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Radiopharmaceutical Management
Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses at least 24 hours in advance.
Receive and verify activity levels upon delivery.
Administer injections per physician orders and established safety protocols.
Safety & Compliance
Maintain compliance with radiation safety regulations and ALARA principles.
Perform required quality assurance and safety tests in accordance with regulatory standards.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate documentation logs and charge records.
Retrieve organize and prepare electronic imaging data for radiologist interpretation.
