Description of Work
Salary Range: $35984 - $62971Reporting to the Correctional Housing Unit Manager II this position provides supervision for subordinate officers regarding their assigned tasks with male offenders in a Minimum custody state correctional facility. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Conducting shift line-up making shift assignments and inspecting personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post
- Supervising and assigning subordinate officers to a particular area or post.
- Completing reviewing and maintaining time reports duty rosters leave schedules performance evaluations and administrative forms.
- Accounting for persons and funds to ensure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready.
- Responsible for subordinate officers activities relating to the custody and welfare of offenders.
- Working rotating and various duty assignments within the defined level of work. The selected candidate may be scheduled to work any shift and will work weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 staffing coverage.

The salary grade for this position is NC07. State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as or lower than their current position. If selected for this position a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience funding availability and internal equity. Based upon these factors a pay increase May result.
About Robeson CRV Modification Center:
Robeson CRV Modification Center is located in Lumberton North Carolina and houses up to 220 male offenders in a minimum custody facility.
Minimum Education and Experience

High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of experience as a correctional officer
